Rope Worm inaugurates the catalogue and series of re-releases with one of the lesser known works of magnificent Insane Music – Alain Neffe. Known from Human Flesh, Bene Gesserit, Kosmose and Pseudo Code to name just a few of his projects, Alain is also founder and curator of renown Insane Music tape label.
This material recorded under Niala Effen moniker, was initially recorded ambient music for Nadine Bal’s paintings exhibition « Les couleurs aussi peuvent chanter » (Brussels, 11th to 30th November 1989) and copies of the album were given to each buyer of Nadine paintings. That first circulation was limited to 28 copies. To wider audience it was presented four years later by OBUH, under the polish translation of exhibition title and restricted to polish market.
„Kolory też potrafią śpiewać” for years was available only as an amateur tape rip on niche blogs and was never previously officially digitized. In 2023 it was transferred from original reel to reel tape and remastered by Alain Neffe himself.
