While Optimal’s „Rolling Stock” is not a reissue from way back in which we wanted to specialize, for sure it sounds like from the late 90s’ and fits like a glove with our archive passion.
Recorded in 2023 and 2024, „Rolling Stock” is a collection of tracks picked from three EPs published previously only in digital form on artists bandcamp. A well crafted hommage to DHR releases and ambient breakcore/jungle playlists from the 90’s that helped in two years of writing Ph. D. dissertation.
The man behind this project is Paweł Starzec, known from his previous works as Centralia and Industry Standard monikers as well as for being a part of Mazut and Mazutti bands and Positive Regression label/project.
